Tech Tip: Alternatives to LogMeIn Free

A new article has been posted to the TAM Retail blog by Ed Baker:

As of January 14th, 2014, LogMeIn free will no longer be available for use.  LogMeIn is a technology that allows users to remotely log in to one computer from another computer.  For the past 10 years, LogMeIn offered free services but are now making changes to their product.  For more information about these changes, please check out the notice LogMeIn posted last month.

There are many other free services you can try in place of LogMeIn free.  Here are a couple options you and your business can consider:

Join.me:

Join.me offers both paid and free services.  Click here to view the Join.me website to learn more about their remote viewing tools.

WebEx Free:

We here at TAM use this program very frequently to create and join meetings. WebEx allows meetings with up to 100 people. Click here to visit the WebEx website.

Also be sure to check out this article that details the previous tools we listed above, and also offers a few more choices for free remote control services.

As always, if you have any questions about TAM or would like to address any concerns or problems, please give us a call at 866-435-7826 or email us at sales@tamretail.com.  We offer help desk services 24/7 and look forward to working with you!

  1. Another very good alternative is: RHUB remote support servers. It works well.
