New Year’s Resolution: Leverage Sales Through eTAM

It’s understandable that many of us looked at our 2020 Goals and changed the last “0” to a “1”, but it’s not too late to make a new resolution.  It’s a breath of fresh air to be able to switch our outlook from “survive” to “thrive”.  We can take some lessons learned from this pandemic to implement ongoing change in the new world.

One major change that will continue forward is a stronger online presence.  In April 2020, TAM Retail’s Executive Vice President, Bruce Lode, had a blog post about online services such as virtual tours, online classes, fundraisers and donations, and merchandise sales.  Many of our partners established these online services this year.  It is also not too late to do so now.

Case in point: establishing an eCommerce platform with eTAM!  It is a safe assumption that there will not be a large and/or speedy return to visiting brick and mortar stores.  Most reluctance to online shopping has been worked through by your customers out of necessity.  An integrated website is now the standard.

Exit through the virtual gift shop?  Your online sales could (and should) be as much a part of your guests’ experience online as it is in-person.  It also allows your guests to support you outside of virtual donations and sponsorships.  Help them help you.
