Happy-Valentines-Day

Happy Valentine’s Day from everyone here at TAM!  Did you know that on Valentine’s Day of 1876, Alexander Graham Bell applied for a patent for the telephone?  And another fun fact;  red roses are considered the flower of love because if you mix around the letters of ROSE, you would get EROS, who is the god of love.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we offer you a delicious recipe to share with your loved ones.

Red Velvet “Cheese Ball”

1 Box of Red Velvet cake mix
½ cup butter at room temperature
8 oz cream cheese
½ cup powdered sugar
2 Tbs brown sugar
¾ cups of mini chocolate chips (super mini!)
Assorted cookies and Graham crackers

With a mixer you’re going to beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Once smooth, add cake mix, powdered sugar and brown sugar. Mix well until it has a cookie dough texture.

Put the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and form the shape of a heart (or broken heart!) and carefully but tightly wrap the mix in the plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Two hours later:

Unwrap the mix and place on your serving tray and cover your dessert with the mini chocolate chips.  The consistency should be very soft, and can easily be molded into shapes (such as a heart, perhaps!)
